It is that time of year again! Kid’s Holiday workshops.

I am getting loads of calls about the workshops, so let me explain for those of you who are unfamiliar with them. Every year,we host these workshops, where you can bring your kids and drop them off with us. The kids bring a list of 6 people, family and friends, that they want to make a gift for. Handmade gifts, such as soap on a rope for dad, a lovely rose or lavender soap for Nana, a lotion for mom! We have many options to choose from. Our party hostesses sit with the kids and help them with their list. After the kids make their gifts, we wrap them up and the kids have their own bag of suprises for the holidays. We schedule the workshops in 2 hour segments and this is a drop off workshop. And you can take two hours to get some of your own shopping done! We are holding these workshops on Sunday Dec 9th and Saturday Dec 15th. Please call to schedule a slot, space is limited and it fills up fast! The cost is $35 per child. Well, we are back from a very successful show. I don’t think I have ever seen so many people! Our new snowgirls were a hit and as always, our soaps, lotions, creams and cupcakes flew off the shelf! This was our 4th Boston Xmas Festival and we look forward to participating next year!

Love this show! It heralds the beginning of the holiday shopping season for us. 300 fabulous vendors and artisans, all in one spot, the Seaport World Trade Center. The show is Friday, Nov 2nd, 12pm-7pm, Saturday Nov 3rd, 10am-6pm and Sunday Nov 4th from 10am until 5pm. Look on Facebook for discount tickets!
As our clients know, we try to come up with some new items every year, for the show and this year is no exception. This year, we have these great Bath cocktails, served in a souvenir cocktail glass. They are foaming bath salts, with a bubble bath topper! These are just one of the fun new products we are introducing at this show! Looking forward to seeing you there!

For those of you who don’t know the Legend of the Freaking Snowmen, let me tell you. It all happened, many years ago, when I discovered flameless candles.I thought flameless candles were brilliant! Made out of scented wax, these candles still nicely scented a room, from the warmth of a low wattage bulb. they never melted down and the fire risk was reduced. What a concept. So, I found a woman who made me several molds and off I rode, into flameless candle heaven. One of the molds this woman made for me, was a large snowball. My son Kevin looked at it and said, “Mom! Why don’t you make it a snowman! And so it began. We started off by painting the faces, adding a scarf, a pipe, a few other accessories. We took a few into my store, thinking we might sell one or two. And then it began. People were coming in and saying things like, “Oh! How cute are these!!! I’ll take a dozen, they’ll make great hostess gift”! Since I only had one mold and people were ordering them like crazy, panic sort of set in! We ordered more molds, Margaret started hand sculpting the faces and pipes from clay, we started having wrapping parties! And every night, I would go home and yell to my husband Scott, “OMG!! We need to make more of those fr#@$%ng SNOWMAN!!!! And that is how it began! They’re back, for another season!!!

Blue Moon Soap August 31 2012

At 12:01am, on Friday August 31, under the powerful gaze of the blue moon, the crew at Molly’s gathered in the studio to create our blue Moon soap. Although all full moons have amaziing magical powers, it is especially true of the blue moon.The blue moon occurs when there are two full moons in one month. It will not happen again until 2015.

Our cool, mystical Blue Moon soap is just full of good intent. Lots of great organic ingredients and a mysterious smokey scent, of cloves and cinnamon, cassia and a hint of citrus. This is a very limited addition. Get yours while you can!
