Long time, no see!

So much news to catch up on! The Popponesset store was a big success this past summer season! We met all sorts of new Molly’s fans from all over the country! This weekend heralds the official end to the season, but we will remain open, weather permitting, on weekends until Columbus Day. Thanks to everyone, for keeping us so nice and busy!

Congratulations, Suzanne!

Suzanne Sarrasin of California wins the “Name that blend” contest, with “Mountains of Dreams”. That basket will be on its’ way to you this week. Hope you like it.

Well, things sure have been busy, what with the tourist season beginning in earnest at the Popponesset Marketpkace, Falmouth Fridays resumed on Friday July 6th and just keeping two stores stocked and orders filled!

Along with “Beach” fragrance being our most popular scent right now, dry oil sprays have become a fan fave. These small sprays come in two sizes, 4oz and 2.5 oz. These come in just about all of our scent choices. Not only is it an inexpensive alternative to alcohol based colognes,it adds a lovely sheen to your skin. Come and check them out!

Things are heating up!

And I don’t mean the weather! Things are certainly getting busy at the Cape store and staying very busy in Medway. We are in the process of developing some new products and introducing some new scents for the summer. We are revisiting our candle and home fragrancing products, as we have been getting loads of requests for these items. If anyone has any requests for a product, please let us know. We love new ideas!

I was privileged to meet Nancy at Falmouth Fridays last year, also. I immediately glommed on to a satchel type canvas bag with a sea turtle on it! You all know how I feel about turtles! Nancy has the cutest clothing and bags, that all scream “Summer days at the beach!” Well, we are now carrying her duffel and bags! Come in and pick one up on the way to the beach!

Molly’s news

Having a great response to the scent naming contest. Stay tuned and keep up the good work.

Next, Molly’s Apothecary by the Sea is proud to announce that we will be carrying some new items from two of the Cape’s most talented artists! First of all, Robin Pierson’s gorgeous window art. Check out her link. http://robinpierson.com/3/GalleryMain.asp?GalleryID=100392&AKey=8V568YFK

We first met Robin last year when we did Falmouth Fridays. I fell in love with her art and when she found out we opened the new store, we decided we needed to sell some of her lovely work! Coming soon to Molly’s!

A contest!

I really hate it when people don’t keep up with their blogs. And here I am, guilty of precisely that! However, things have been a little nuts around here. My oldest son, Kevin, got married this past weekend at the Canoe Island Lodge in Lake George, NY. What a picturesque, idyllic spot for a wedding, vacation, getaway weekend, what have you, this place was awesome. Check them out if you get a chance.

Getting ready for the upcoming nuptials kept us pretty busy also. We decided, (by we, I mean the crew at Molly’s)to make up perhaps a little basket of handmade toiletries to put in the rooms for the out of town guests. We all know that feeling of realizing you are here for a wedding and forgot some shampoo or something. Well, the idea grew from there. We wanted a scent reminiscent of the Adirondacks. Kev suggested pine or fir or balsam. Great……….for just the men! So we came up with a signature blend. Orange Blossom, Blood Orange and Pine. It is lovely, so lovely, we have decided to add it to our regular line. But we need a name. Someone came up with Mountain Wedding! Nice, but I want some other choices. Name the blend and win one of the baskets that we made for the wedding. The basket has a shampoo bar, a conditioner bar, a lotion, a lip balm, a soap and then some delicious handbaked goodies(by Marg)like my mother’s famous shortbread and some brownie cake pops. I will also post this on FB. Come on folks, let’s name this by July 1st! Winner to be announced July 2nd!
